Spybot installation instructions

Download Spybot and double click the downloaded file and choose your language.

Click Next.

Click "I accept the agreement". Then click Next.

Click Next.

Click Next.

Click Next.

Optionally remove the check from "use system settings protection (TeaTimer)". The TeaTimer is a good security measure but will also be a nuisance as there will be a lot of popup messages (Like Windows Vista User Account Control does). Click Next.

Click Install.

If you are connected to the internet, Spybot will download some files. This window will disappear once the files are downloaded.

Click Finish. You are almost done. Spybot will run now.

Check "Don't show this message again." if you do't want to see this message each time you run Spybot.

Now the Spybot wizard starts. Click Create a registry backup if you want (not necessary). Then click Next.

Click "Search for updates" and a Spybot Updater window will pop up.

Click Continue.

Click Download.

Once updates are downloaded, this window will pop up. Click OK.

Click Exit to guit the updater.

Click Next.

Click "Immunize this system". This will take a few moments. Once you see "Protected: followed by some numbers" it is finished. Click Next.

Click "Start using the program" and you are finished with the setup. Spybot has now been updated and you system is immunized. See this video on using Spybot if you need help scanning you system with spybot.
