I have personally seen many people get rid of a 2 year old computer (or less) and buy a new one because it was not working right. Typically these same people use their computer exclusively for browsing the web and word processing. Both internet browsing and word processing do not require the latest and greatest computer. In fact, I have a 6 and half year old Athlon desktop computer that I still use daily for all sorts of stuff beyond just internet browsing and word processing and it was not even a top of the line computer when I bought it. Proper computer maintenance will ensure your computer's performance does not decrease over time. Not everyone knows how to maintain their computer and keep it secure. To some computer security and maintenance seem complicated and they do not know where to start. Hopefully, the Computer Help Center can correct that problem.
